Washington, DC — On March 23rd, the Asian American Action Fund (AAA-Fund) celebrated ten years of empowering the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The Asian American Congressional delegation and many community leaders were on hand at the Wasserman Room at Democratic National Committee headquarters to see Sen. Daniel Inouye receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, Rep. Mike Honda (President of AAA-Fund's Honorary Board) receive a Lifetime Public Service Award, and AAA-Fund Co-founder Yeni Wong receive a Civic Leadership Award.
The festivities were hosted by former CBS and CNN news anchor Joie Chen. A big hit was the Silent Auction, which netted thousands of dollars for the AAA-Fund's activities.
Thanks to the AAA-Fund board, staff and volunteers for their hard work in making this happen. Thanks to photographer John Atallah for taking pictures of the event.

The AAA-Fund is a Democratic political action committee whose goal is to increase the voice of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) on every level of local, state and federal government in America. To achieve this goal, we address the chronic under-representation of AAPIs as campaign volunteers, campaign contributors, and candidates for political office. The AAA-Fund has endorsed candidates across the country.
